FAMILY LITERACY

thumbnail[4].jpg

Hey lets make it a family thing.  Grab a book, read together. Or better yet tell a story.  It doesn't have to be a long one, just one you suddenly made up.  Some times those are the best ones.  Put a little creativity in it and see how you become the center of attention by being an original storyteller.

Spending time together and reading books brings a bond of  family adventure and fun. When families read together you began to see what each individual's interest are, as well as discover different types of literature genres.  So pick what you like fiction, nonfiction, fantasy, comics, coming of age, a magazine, classics, westerns, romance, the list goes on etc.

Also, why not listen to an audio book or watch a book that's been made into a movie. And afterward discuss the book together.  Reading is fun, and you can discover lots of new places without ever leaving your home setting, etc.  So set aside some time daily, weekly or whenever you can to read together.

Below is a list of family friendly books to read for K-12 ,GED students, etc.
